Oga Rã SA has FSC certification, that means the company respects the nature and has formal commitment to oversee the sources of raw materials which supply its production as well as future generations. In its manufacturing process the company uses all the quality rankings possible, rational processes that ensure a good use of the raw material that enters in its factory. The consequence of this all is a minor impact on the nature and ensuring the continuity of the forest business. In respect to the rules of the certification, the company uses a policy of control of sources of raw material, seeking the preservation and conservation of the environment, the sustainable development and the economic and social welfare, with the public commitment of don’t purchase timber in these situations:

1. Illegal harvested timber;

2. Timber harvested at forest areas that the civil or traditional rights are not respected;

3. Timber harvested at forest areas non-certified by FSC, that has high value of conservation and are threatened;

4. Natural forest that has been converted in forest plantation or has no forest use;

5. Timber harvested from genetically modified (GM) Trees.

What means forest certification?

The forest certification ensure that the timber used in certain products comes from a productive process managed in an ecological appropriated way, socially fair and economically viable in length of all the laws. Ensuring the Aware consumer an option for a product that doesn’t degrades the nature and that contributes to the social and economic development of the forest communities, ensuring the preservation of the natural forests. The FSC seal is the green seal most recognized in the world, with presence in more than 75 countries, FSC is a symbol in English for the words Forest Stewardship Council.
