Density: basic of 0,42 to 0,48g/cm³, apparent of 0,50 to 0,61g/cm³ and 15% of humidity
Color: White-yellowish quite uniform
General Characteristics: Sapwood somewhat different from core. The texture is fine, uniform and the grain is right. The wood is easily attacked by termites and fungi that makes the Wood get rotten, but is highly permeable to condoms, facilitating the processing of wood.
Drying: in greenhouses: Slow (10 days), tendency to distortion and cracking.
Employee: easy to work, but care must be taken to the wood trim or saw again in compression, because it can cause distortions.
Main Uses: boxes, mobile, laminates, for lining boards, slat, cramps, pencil, carpenter, match, forms for concrete, carpentry, offset, boards, poles and masts of ships.
Other Uses: Crafts, medical, rehabilitation of degraded areas, food (pine nuts).
